Cancellation, Re-Schedule, Refund Policy

At Recipe For Zen, we are diligent about setting appointments that are convenient to the client and in alignment with best professional practice. When an appointment is scheduled, that time is reserved for the client. Recipe For Zen requires a full 24 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules. If you choose, for any reason not to attend or choose to reschedule an appointment without providing 24 hr. advance notice, full fee will be charged unless this involves a life threatening emergency.

Recipe For Zen offers a variety of resources and services including Zen coaching sessions (Management/Leadership, Professional, Personal), Authentic Zen programme/workshops/training (corporate and individual), Meditation sessions, Traditional Japanese Healing and self healing sessions and other tailored services.

Some programmes offered are of set durations (i.e. 6 weeks to Authentic Zen life, One day Zen workshop) whereas some services are tailored to client’s individual needs. Recipe For Zen services are designed to provide information, practical resources and support to assist clients to create positive changes achieve professional and/or personal goals and enhance physical and emotional well-being. Incorporating new practices into daily life, forming new habits and adapting to change usually requires some time.

According to a study, it takes 18 to 254 days, and on average, 66 days to for a person to form a habit.

Therefore, Recipe For Zen encourages all clients to regularly perform/follow Zen practices for at least 10 weeks to experience a meaningful improvement in physical and emotional well-being in most situations. Depending on the client’s goals and unique situations, it may take longer to achieve desired outcomes.

Whilst there is no obligation, clients are encouraged to engage with follow up sessions at 6 weeks and 10 weeks from the initial session if a programme or service received are shorter than 10 weeks in duration for optimal results.

Zen practitioner will discuss with clients about unique individual situation and requirements in the initial consultation to jointly develop a tailored plan clients feel comfortable to committing in duration and pricing.

Recipe for Zen understands situations can change, and that more or fewer sessions than originally planned may become preferable for client’s situation.

In the event a client and Zen practitioner mutually determine and agree a shorter duration is appropriate, Recipe For Zen will make billing adjustments and/or a client may request a refund for any unused sessions. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the appointment of reference and processing time for refunds is up to 6 weeks from date of request.

Coaching is a self-directed process where client is assisted to develop own strategies to achieve individual goals, supported by objective feedback and encouragement.

If Zen practitioner comes to reasonably believe that client requires professional medical or mental health treatment, Zen practitioner will follow best practice protocol and make an appropriate recommendation for client to seek professional help required and may terminate services as appropriate.

If client requests Zen practitioner’s assistance to achieve any unreasonable, dangerous/harmful (to client or others), illegal or immoral goals, session will be terminated and refund may not be given.

Now and then we find that a client may attend sessions reluctantly, is sceptical, or he/she is not ready to make a commitment. In such cases, clients get little or no favourable results from their sessions. If Zen practitioner comes to believe services provided by Recipe For Zen are not beneficial or well-suited for the client’s particular needs, or in some rare cases where a client determine Zen practices are not for them, any subsequent bookings/reminder of the sessions will be cancelled and refund of the unused portion of the sessions will be provided.
